This past weekend at CPAC 2011, the largest annual conservative conference in the country, Young Americans for Liberty mobilized more than 700 students to join us in Washington, DC and send a loud and clear message to the political establishment: Your time is up. Restore the Constitution!
For the past two years, Young Americans for Liberty has been taking the Buckeye state by storm. With 9 chapters currently in Ohio, it is time to get together and hold the first ever Ohio YAL conference!

Government Continues to Grow. Luckily, so do the Young Americans for Liberty at Ohio State University!
The Ohio State University chapter of Young Americans for Liberty (YAL) is back for the 2010-2011 school year and stronger than ever. At the annual Student Involvement Fair today, YAL arrived hours ahead of time, grabbed the best table to make themselves stand out among over 1,000 student groups, and recruited for their group for over four hours.

During the day, many students excitedly signed up on the YAL mailing list claiming they were “so relieved” to have found a group that matches their political views. Others told YAL members how anxious they were to get involved and learn how to become great activists for liberty. By the end of the day, YAL had collected over 150 new names.

In March, the very active YAL chapter at Ohio State University hatched a plan to promote Freedom Watch, the Fox News program hosted by renowned constitutionalist Judge Andrew Napolitano. They also invited me to join them on the show.
The students went on a non-stop promotion blitz: covering the campus in flyers, putting up posters, and working around the clock to get the word out any way they could. When the show taped live, they delivered a SOLD OUT crowd. More than 1,700 supporters attended the event.
The makeup of the crowd was remarkable. I could tell by the reaction to my speech that most attendees were already supporters, but many were new converts, just beginning to consider liberty.
Perhaps even more impressive – everyone in the room was on their feet by the end of the show’s live broadcast. THAT speaks to the power of our message.
